Are you putting God into a nice, neat box…all wrapped up in string and brown tape…to be opened only when you want Him?
Faith is not something to be packed away and taken out of the closet when it’s easy to show off. It’s not something that you pull out at your discretion. Faith means taking the hard road. It means being Christian at all times, not just when you “feel like it”. Faith is difficult. Staying on the path that God has prepared for you can be contrary to what you want, as a human. The reward may not be tangible, in your opinion. The response to your prayer may not go the way you expected. The door that’s been closed may not present a window that you can see.
God wants to be with you every moment of every day. He wants to share in your day-to-day struggles. God desires nothing but good for you. The gift of the Holy Spirit to guide you during dilemmas is how God helps you understand, that even if you can’t see the future, IT DOES NOT MATTER! God knows your future. He knows your troubles. But, remember, God’s ways are not human, and His response does not require your understanding, or your advice. So, keep your faith visible at all times! And recycle that box 😊
