Are people pulling your trigger? Do you feel as if you’re being baited to respond to those around you…even if you don’t want to?
In today’s political arena, uncertainty is the certainty. Whatever your associations, cultural beliefs, or personal circumstances are there is someone else in the cosmos that feels the exact opposite of you. It’s incredibly easy to respond negatively, even if you respect and love the person you’re communicating with.
Recently a classmate has been posting political responses to current events. I respect this person. Typically, he’s an intelligent, discerning human. However, during an exchange, he insulted my values. I turned to my Bible to investigate whether I could…in a nice, Christian way…fire back at him. Uh, the answer is NO!
There is no justification for attacking people in the name of Jesus.
