What happens to you, when a success suddenly becomes a total failure? do you give up? or persevere.
Jesus could have given up, turned to the dark side and begged for His life, but He didn’t. He persevered. Jesus knew He was here for a bigger purpose than Himself. When the triumph of entering Jerusalem, on a donkey and palm fronds laid on the ground before Him, turned into the tragedy of His betrayal and torture, Jesus continued on within God’s plan. Can you do the same?
Life is a continual struggle between the triumphs, and the tragedies, that invade our individual space. Sometimes these impact you alone. Sometimes they’re generated by those around you and effect multiple peoples at the same time. And sometimes they are simply the vagaries of life.
How you respond, is how you will go along the Path. If you call on Jesus, and beseech Him for a modicum of His passion for those around Him, calmness will set in. Although chaos may be raining all around you at the time, changing your mindset to accept that God is honing your edge in the fires of life, should help you be at peace with the teeter-totter of triumphs to tragedies.
